SALARY SCALE: The salary for the Youth Project Co-Ordinator is based
on the full time ( * hour) Youth Work Supervisor

based on the experience of the successful candidate and within budget.
Starting Salary is calculated on a pro rata basis at minimum of

ROLE:

This is a key position directly managing the Youth Project operated by
Youth New Ross (YNR). The Youth Project Co-ordinator will be
responsible for directing, leading and supporting a range of youth
work programmes including any new initiatives secured by YNR e.g.
successfully tendering etc. The successful candidate will also become
engaged in direct youth work delivery. The person will require a high
level of motivation, a positive disposition and flexible attitude in
response to organisational change and development. The person will be
committed to providing a safe inclusive environment that provides
social and development opportunities for young people.

The Youth Project Co-ordinator will have a very close working
relationship with the YNR CEO, to ensure the delivery of quality
work within the community and will work in co-operation with
the Family Project Manager. The Youth Work Co-ordinator will have
direct working relationships with the Youth Workers in the Youth
Project and Garda Youth Diversion Project and additional staff as
appropriate, including line management of same. In addition to this
role the Youth Project Co-ordinator may also be requested to take
referrals received through the CCA project in which an emphasis is
placed on integrating children and young people into their community
and on strengthening the family’s social support network to maintain
young people out of the care system.
